Filming

The rest of the scenes would require careful planning as many of them called for movement of some kind.  One major limitation of the green screen is that it provides a very limited space in which to move, as a result of this each scene was planned before shooting and blocks placed on the very limits of the available space.

These blocked acted as visual aides for the actors who would have a better idea of the area in which they could move without disappearing off screen.  As a result of this planning none of the scenes had to be scrapped because the actors moved outside of the safe zone.

Each scene in Futuricity was shot twice to ensure that any errors that weren't picked up on at the time could be removed through cutting together the two scenes.  The time constraints of the project meant that it would not be possible to re-record any of the footage so the team had to ensure everything was perfect first time.
